Please note: Only those that have taken the Stage West BEGINNER’S Acting Workshop may sign up for the Advanced Acting Workshop!

As is the case with any show, there is little time to work on developing the characters being portrayed.  The Advanced Acting Workshop will focus on how to make your character(s) memorable, unique, and believable.

The ADVANCED Acting Workshop is designed to not only build on the skills you already have but will focus on developing both verbal and non-verbal characterization. At the end of the workshop, you and your fellow actors will present a one act to showcase your talents.  Suffice it to say that the play will include everyone. You do need to know, however, that this will be a “straight” play, in other words, a non-musical.

To make this more convenient for parents we will meet from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm on the following dates:

July 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and
July 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25

Workshop instruction and activities will be completed in the morning from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.

• We will have a half-hour break for lunch. (Students bring their own lunch and drink with them.)
• From 12:30 pm until 3:30 pm students will have rehearsal their play(s).

The Advanced students will PERFORM their play prior to the Children’s musical on:

Friday, July 25th at 7:30 pm,
Saturday, July 26th at 7:30 pm, and
Sunday, July 27th at 2:00 pm

The cost of the ADVANCED Acting Workshop is $250.00 and covers all your expenses except for lunch.  There is a discount for children from the same household.  Every additional child cost $225 if they attend the same workshop.

If you are interested in joining this summer’s ADVANCED Acting Workshop, please fill out the attached registration form, attach your non-refundable deposit, and return it either electronically, via mail, or by dropping it off at the Box Office by Friday, June 20th.

PLEASE BE ADVISED that the class size is LIMITED; this way each child will be given individual attention and practice and allow for some additional instruction.

The tuition balance is due June 20th, which is THREE WEEKS before the class start date. After this date your child’s place will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
